NeckPro II is an easy-to-use traction device that can be used at home to significantly reduce neck pain. Millions of people suffer from neck pain every day, sometimes immobilizing them almost completely. Neck pain can be caused by traumatic injury from strain, whiplash, or a fracture. However, it also may be caused from sitting too long at a desk or compuer; driving long distances; poor posture; improper sleeping habits; and from everyday physical, mental, and, especially, emotional stress.

Neck pain results from muscle spasm or tension that causes narrowing of the spaces between the vertebrae. This stricture places pressure on the nerves in the area, a condition commonly known as a “pinched nerve.” That’s where NeckPro comes in. NeckPro II is a device that applies cervical traction, stretching muscles and forcing them to relax. The result is to effectively break the neck pain/spasm cycle.

Invented by a practicing physician, who is board-certified in Emergency Medicine, NeckPro II is an over-the-door cervical traction unit for home use. It is safe and effective when used as directed to relieve pain associated with:

  • Cervical disc herniation
  • Cervical radiculopathy
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Neck strain
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Whiplash
  • Pinched nerve in the upper spine with associated pain radiating down upper extremities
  • Spondylosis
  • Tension, and/or tightness (muscle spasm) in muscles of the upper back, shoulders and neck, and/or resulting insomnia or tension headaches

Instructions:

ATTENTION: Use as directed by your licensed medical practitioner to be sure you have no medical or physical condition which could preclude its use. Use only according to instructions below. DO NOT modify or disassemble. Keep away from children.

The Adjustable Door Bracket fits standard doors measuring 1-3/8”, 1-1/2”, 1-5/8”, 1-3/4”, 35 mm and 44 mm doors.

Step 1: Determine the correct side of the door. To determine which side of the door the bracket should face, locate the hinges on the hinge side of the door. The bracket should be placed on the same side of the door where the hinges are visible with the door closed. If the bracket is placed on the wrong side of the door, the bracket will interfere with the door jamb and prevent the door from closing properly.

Step 2: Determine the width of your door. Set the door width with by inserting the pin into the hole with your door width marked. You may need to slide the top portion of the bracket back and forth until the holes line up as need to fit your door before you put in the locking pin.

Step 3: Once the door width is set, you can place it on top of your door. Close your door to secure the bracket in place.

WARNING: DO NOT use the device WITHOUT the door closed completely!!!!!

Step 4: Press down on the release tab to lower the head harness to the length needed when you are sitting down.

Step 5: Place chair so that the back is pushed against the door. Sit in the chair with your back firmly against the back of the chair.

Step 6: Apply the head harness to the back of the head and chin. For comfort, place chinstrap so that it embraces the forward structure of the chin in a cupping or concave manner. Pull hook and loop strap forward and attach to the Velcro patches on both sides of the chin strap. Ensure that the harness fits snug at the back of the neck and chin.

Step 7: Once the harness is properly secured to the head, pull the white cord slowly to take the slack out of the harness. When you sense the first tug or lift, begin counting clicks. Each click equals approximately one (1) pound of traction pull. Ease up on the cord after each click to get a full sense of the increased traction/tension before increasing to next level. For safety purposes, this device is limited to approx. 25 lbs. of traction/tension pull. Once you reach the limit, it is designed NOT to increase beyond that.

To release/remove the head halter, grasp the ends of the Velcro straps, pull back and up behind the ear for quick and easy removal.
