SafetySure Super Slide

A clinical study demonstrated a greater than 40% reduction in pull force when using a combination of a mobility sheet and transfer slide, compared to a standard draw sheet transfer.

The SafetySure® Super Slide combines the best features of a transfer gurney and a transfer slide in one convenient product.  The transfer gurney measures 20"W by 48"L and has a plastic insert for added protection when transferring a patient from one surface to another.  Two  Velco® strips securely attach the transfer gurney.  The transfer slide measures 40"W by 60" L.  The frictionless inner surface of the transfer slide allows the caregiver to easily transfer the patient.  As an added benefit,  both the gurney and the slide can be used separately if desired.  Machine washable.

How to Use the Super Slide: 
 
Step 1 - Roll the patient on his/her side.  Place the transfer gurney portion of the SuperSlide next to the patient's back.
  
Step 2 - Position the patient on the transfer gurney portion of the SuperSlide.  Extend the transfer slide in the direction of the transfer.

Step 3 - Grasp hold of the handles on the tranfer gurney portion of the SuperSlide and begin the transfer by pulling the patient in the desired direction.  The smooth inner surface of the transfer slide makes the transfer easy while reducing strain on the caregiver's back.  For heavy patients, two caregivers may be needed to complete the transfer. 

Step 4 - Once the transfer has been completed, roll the patient on their side and remove the SuperSlide.
